That depends on where I am at. If I am at a pool, then I usually use a modest two piece since I do not have to worry about the current or any waves…. but when I am out surfing, I use a two piece under a t-shirt and a board shorts, or just a tankini with a board shorts because you never know when you're going to wipe out and I would hate it if I came up without my bikini top or bottom on =P

It really depends on the person. I've come to find that girls that want to show off their body or have the chance of a really cute guy to come talk to them wear a bikini and the girls who wear a one piece either don't like their figure or they are too shy about trying to get a guy and lack confidence and don't like to show off their body and feel exposed. but that's just what I have noticed, it might not be true in all cases of course.

This will probably vary, depending on body type and personality.
Personally, I'm somewhat small so I like to wear a bikini. nothing skimpy really, just a regular bikini. I actually want to wear a one piece, but get annoyed with how difficult it is to take off. That's why I stick with bikinis.

When I was a a teenager it was a bikini, but now that I am in my 20s I prefer something more modest and classy. I don't prefer to share that much of my body in public, and no, it's not an issue of an unfit or unsightly body.

When I have the body for it and feel comfortable in my body (after serious working out), you bettcha. When I'm feeling a little flabby? no way are you getting me in a bathing suit at all, never mind a bikini.

I like to wear something that looks good on me. I live in Florida and believe me i've seen it all. I am most impressed when a woman wears what looks good not whats in style. Sometimes what in style looks great sometimes not so much.

Define skimpy,if I'm just swimming laps in my pool I wear a high leg black semi halter low neckline one piece,but otherwise I have a variety of bikinis and most are triangle top with high leg bottom,no thongs or string bottoms though.

Tank top and shorts. I swim in an indoor pool at my gym. I do my laps and GTFO of there. I've been a member for ten years now, my goal is not to attract men.

I am not especially generously endowed, but I have some concerns about how well one might stay in place. I like to swim and go on water slides, but would like some more confidence regarding modesty. what sort of things should I look for? My present suits are such that I have to be cautious with what I do, and this excludes abandoning myself to the moment in enjoying the activity. [Yeah, I know: laugh it off. but I'm too conventional a Catholic to do so.]

Traditional with all bikini colour trends are coral and pastel colours. Yellows, lavender, aqua and coral pink are all colours that regularly feature on the bikini palette.   Aqua blue looks fabulous on all skin types and in all forms from swimsuits to tankinis, aqua blue is a staple of the bikini colour palette.

Oceanic colours work well as prints too. Banana Moon Bikinis have a number of soft violet bikini mixed with blue that are perfect for lazing in the sun.

Graphic & Tropical

Nautical

Stripes never go out of fashion and you can always be sure to be the belle of the beach with a nautical themed bikini. The beauty of a striped swim costume or bikini is that you can take a fairly simple concept and jazz it up with multi-colours such as the Banana Moon Sleno Tia Aca. Taking all the elements of your bog standard bikini and making them bright and more fun. With a neck tie nothing could look better.

however if you do want to keep it classic, a red and white nautical look is great for any time anywhere. The Banana Moon Kalena Movea Happy bikini is so cute with short style bikini bottoms and a bandeau top with a removable tie. The cups are moulded and feature a wrap-around back.

Mixing things up a bit can be great fun when it comes to find the best swimwear, you could have two different styles for tops and bottoms. for example a simple black top could work well with little animal print shorts or a navy blue bottom with an aqua blue tankini top would be very on trend.

Try to avoid buying to separate patterns as clashing colours and prints is a massive bikini faux pas.

The Tankini: The Ideal Beachwear For Many Women

A few weeks ago I went shopping for maternity suits, and found most of them to be unflattering, ill-fitting, and covered in horrendous patterns and ruffles that would make any body type look ridiculous.  I ended up buying one maternity tankini and one regular tankini, and figured I’d make the best of it at the pool.

But the minute I hit the pool chair, I felt like I was draped in fabric and hiding myself for no good reason.  Why was I so hesitant to show my big beautiful belly?

I ended up borrowing a bikini top from my sister the next day, and pairing it with my tankini bottoms to create my own two-piece.  I went shopping that night to get a new bikini, and I felt like a million bucks the next day at the pool with my bump on display for all to see.  More importantly, I felt like myself again.  Pregnancy is interesting in that sometimes I wake up or go to roll over, and remember that I’m in this body that I don’t always quite recognize or realize is mine.  By wearing a big bathing suit that I would never normally have chosen, I was only adding to those feelings of strangeness and unfamiliarity.

I will admit that I was a little nervous and self-conscious when I first revealed my big belly at the very crowded Vegas pool.  I definitely noticed more than a few stares and second glances.  But I also noticed a lot of smiles, and a few people even stopped to tell me that I looked great.  I quickly realized despite all the massive fabric and distracting prints of most maternity wear, being pregnant is definitely not something that should be hidden, but rather something to celebrate!

For 25 weeks I have worked hard to have a healthy, active, and fit pregnancy.  And while my body certainly doesn’t feel or look like it used to, I absolutely love it in entirely new and different ways.  I’m already looking forward to our beach vacation next month, and planning to pick up a few new two-pieces just for the occasion.
