Every year people make resolutions. A number of these resolutions center on getting in shape and for some the goal is to look good for swimsuit season. this year Betsey Johnson has made things easier (or maybe harder) by already revealing their new lines of designer swimwear for the 2010 season. this year it is what they have to offer is a mixed bag of great and not so great.

Sometimes it seems that you cannot go wrong with leopard print. Maybe it is the reference to the sleek animal. Whatever the look, works for the Leopard-print Wrap Bikini from the swimwear line. at first glance it looks like a halter top bikini. the top actually starts at the back and the fabric wraps around the side and connects in the front and ties in the back. unlike others, it does not look like the persons getting a wedgie. the effect is subtle, a bit intriguing and of course, cute and sexy. one can have lots of fun with this bikini.

Bizarre can be cool. Bizarre can be great, but bizarre is definitely a bad thing when it comes to the Red Carter Slashed One-Piece. It is an eye catcher but seems more likely to generate negative comments instead of compliments. the Slashed one-piece started out as a regular, one strap bikini. perfectly normal and not anything to attract attention. Its attention grabbing features are the “slashes across the front and sides. It appears that they were aiming for cheeky and teasing, but it just looks like the wearer survived being mauled by a leopard, or worse, is wearing the swimsuit of someone who did not survive.

Better On the Drawing Board?

Browsing this seasons swimwear from Betsey Johnson, one can see many intriguing designs. For example there is, in the category of little Black Swimsuits, the Topless Bikini. the very idea that they would tout it as topless, as if going topless is a new idea, is enough to make one smile. It may seem like a joke, but it is not. If it was a cute design, they may have been able to pull it off, but sadly, they did not. It starts out with a cute bottom and features a section of fabric in the front that tapers to two cords that tie off around the neck. Section of fabric is wide at the bottom, lending the impression the person is getting a rather severe wedgie. not something that is sexy or cute. Adding to it all, is that this “topless bikini” features a removable bandeau top.

I am a natural 34D and while I like skimpy bikini triangle tops I feel more comfortable in those with some push-up. I am slim and I crave more of the push-up than the support–I hate the matronly looking bikinis, I am only 22. I have so many Victoria's Secret push-ups already and feel that they just aren't that sexy or cute. does anyone know where I can order some sexy under wire push-up bikinis.

I'm sorry for a) being a guy and b) not really answering your question, but you DO look best in cute triangle bikinis, trust me! Underwired bikinis are never cute or sexy regardless of what their wearers may choose to tell themselves – when all said and done they are bras in bright coloured fabric. Women with natural curves like you look fantastic in triangle bikinis – you may not be 'pushed up' but it looks cute, sexy, confident, fun, a little daring… all good.

Honestly I would encourage you to save your pennies and stick with cute and cheap triangles – if you're brave enough to go without support you're going to look wonderful, I promise!
